Publishing

Always guided by the principle of quality when publishing scores, books, essays, etc., we pay close attention to all the proposals we receive in order to provide the author with a prompt, viable and firm response regarding their project.

We are aware that the needs of each author may be very different, so we offer personalised solutions for the publication of their works: from a small number of copies to larger print runs, depending on their characteristics and the target audience.

As publishing experts, we suggest the most suitable format, the perfect type of paper or the appropriate layout. We even take care of the ultimate details: proofreading, cover design, and distribution.

Our main objective is to achieve the positioning of our authors and their works, because their success is our success.

Albums

Dos Acordes is also a leading record producer. We cover not only promotional demos but also music albums recorded both in our own studio or in external professional studios, considering what the project needs and always in agreement with all the parties involved. We provide technical, and if necessary, artistic production, either exclusive or shared, based on our professional experience as studio musicians.

We produce CDs and DVDs, including those of great technical complexity, and we work with the best recording companies. In addition, we go beyond the usual jewel case offering a varied selection of formats (Digipack, Digibook, CD/Book, etc.).

This represents a real challenge for our graphic design team, which is given free rein to apply innovation and creativity in order to fulfil the client’s objectives.

Transcription

Our services include the transcription of handwritten scores and paper editions into a digital format using different programmes, Finale, Sibelius, Musescore…, as the case may be.

From the very outset, we guarantee a quick and efficient work at a very competitive price, considering the usual rates for this type of assignments. We have extensive experience in transcribing and editing for orchestral ensembles, music bands, as well as for renowned composers.

In the field of musicological and ethnomusicological research, we know and apply different notation systems, including contemporary and ancient ones. The decisions made by our team of transcribers are based on their extensive academic background and their outstanding professionalism, always guided by the author’s objectives, opinions or ideas.

The final result is supplied to the client in the requested programme, as well as in PDF, following the indications provided by them in terms of format, font type and size, etc. Besides, if the client decides to publish the work, our score publishing team will be pleased to advise them on any necessary modifications so that the final product follows our quality standards.

Mock-ups

Mock-ups are one of the most powerful innovations that the technological revolution has brought to the field of music. This consists of creating musical pieces based on a specific software that simulates the sound of musical groups or instruments. Our mock-up creation service is centred on the client’s needs and not on fixed settings, so every work is unique.

The possibilities are extremely varied and the final result responds to a creative process that also requires a rigorous analytical work. In addition, we use the best virtual libraries to ensure the quality of this material: 8Dio, Vienna Symphonic Library, Spitfire Audio, Orchestral Ttools, East West. etc.
