Concertino op. 26 for solo clarinet and clarinet choir

Carl Maria von Weber; arranged by Bartolomé Genestar

Carl Maria von Weber (1786-1826) is one the acknowledged fathers of the clarinet repertoire. In fact, his work is considered a reference point by those who love the instrument.

This score clearly represents one of our fundamental principles: the intention to work toghether as a team. The arrangement of the Concertino, op. 26 for solo clarinet and clarinet choir begun as a personal work: Bartolomé Genestar made it for the IV Curso de Clarinete Isla de Menorca not only with the intention of working on the clarinet ensemble and the study of other related instruments, but also to culminate the course interpreting, toghether with the students, a work that all of them had preveiously revised.

As the author, we believe that music should be shared and that there is nothing better than listening to a family of clarinets as if it was an orchestra, especially for those of us who are devoted to that magnificent instrument.

This edition includes separate parts for solo clarinet, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, E-flat clarinet, E-flat alto clarinet, basset horn and bass clarinet.
